Trim Rings
« on: June 02, 2009 - 10:14:05 PM »
I rec. my new Rallye wheels. 2 15X7's and 2 15X8's.  from Wheels vintuque.  They sent me 4 trim rings all the same size. The rings fit the 15X7 wheels perfect.
On the 15X8's there is a 1/4inch space between the rim and the ring.  :banghead:
I thought this was odd. I called W.V. they said they only make one size trim ring, (Width).
Is that true???  Has anyone else had this problem????
Thanks

So what does the 1" difference between the front rims and the back do?  I went looking for some rims recently and I'll be honest, no one says what the difference will do to performance.  Do you plan on going with a seriously wider tire for the rear?  The gentleman I spoke with said that I could mount the same tires on both rims with no real visible difference.
Thanks in advance,
Kori

Common problem really. There is no trim ring to fit the 8" right as far as I know. :dunno:

The 1" gap on the 8's are kinda noticable to me,, but I've been looking at the same thing for quite a while also.   ;D

Many of us run bigger tire size in the rear than in the front.  :grinyes:
