Position from the rear window molding clips

Where is the exact position, from the two long clips, for the rear window molding on a 1970 Cuda?
What’s the exactly function for those two clips?

:clueless:  they are all the same size. You mean the 2 metal pieces to center the back window for installation?

those would go on the bottom to line up the window when installed. Most people dont use them , they use 1/4 inch rubber . Glass shops tell me that the metal ones can cause a chip in the glass after installation and cause it to crack.

But to answer your question, towards the lower outer edge for glass support, but not in the corners.
