Alternator bracket - non A/C?
« on: June 06, 2009 - 07:06:02 PM »
Can some one post a picture of the alternator bracket and mounting of a non a/c car?

Also where can I find one?

My alternator mounts to the air compressor, so I will need to change it out when I do my manifold and carb update, as I am planning on removing the A/C at that time as well.

Thanks

:banghead: This is the kind of stuff that happens after a long day.  :swear:

The alternator brackets, crank pulleys & water pump pulleys are different when going
from A/C To NON-A/C.

So, I will need to collect all the pulleys to make the change over.

Here is a picture of the pulleys I need.

The can be off of a 70 to 91 small bock.

Alan is looking to see if he has any. Thanks Bro.

Does anyone else have some for a non a/c with p/s SB?

I have a spare single groove SB water pump pulley, recently repainted that I would trade you for the doublegroove.
Heck, I'd even throw in the crank pulley for free.
Just PM me for pics and such if you are willing.
Best,

I went to Pick-a-Part (a local junk yard) and found a 1971 Dart which had the pulleys, and brackets that I need, non A/C with Power Steering, all for twenty dollars.

DMZ23, I picked up a double pulley as well, as I wanted to be sure I got everything I needed, if I don’t use it is yours.  :2thumbs:
