Almost finished assembling the 451" and picked up the new Dana and a Keisler A41 Auto OD kit.  Also got a pair of Hyperco composite leaf springs.

I'm going to keep them just in case I have any issues with the composite ones. 

Today it was 95 degrees and VERY humid but I was eager to " get going" so in the morning I machined the rotors so they will fit a Mopar axel and machined the aluminum brake caliper mounts so they would fit the new Dana. DrDiff will provide them machined but I decided to do it myself and save some money as I have the equipment here in the garage. I got the rotors from the same place as I got my front ones so they will match. Cass does sell them also.



Here is the cover that came with the Dana. I didn't like the " look" so I swaped it out for a stamped polished stainless one. Looks closer to "stock"

Here is the disc brake parts for the rear end.



 Wow these Dana 35 spline axels are HUGE close to 1 1/2" in diameter!


I ordered my Dana with tapered roller bearings and HD bearing retainers.


Also worked on the motor for a little bit today. Got the valley tray I made bolted in. It's going to work great! Poured in 8 quarts of Brad Penn oil and bolted on the valve covers too.

It sure is! Comes in VERY handy! 
 I have almost as much money tied up in the Challenger as I do in equipment/tools in the garage!

Well I got the new Dana 60 from DrDiff installed, as well as new hyperco composite rear leaf springs and a new gas tank. Engine and tranny are next!
Here are some before and after pictures showing the difference in ride height. It dropped it about an inch or maybe a little more. It sits more close to stock now. I previously had ESPO plus 1 1/2" leafs in it.

The new composite leafs are 8 pounds each.



I did have to screw around with spacers/washers to get them fitting snug in the spring hangers. They are a little narrower than stock? I used DrDiff's 1" offset relocation kit,
B- body with rear end width. I did have to remove the rear bumperette brackets and mill some off the side so the rear shackel would clear.
I'm using a Hotchkis rear sway bar and with the relocation kit it was too close to the spring, so I had to make these to take the place of the bolt.  Made them with a grease groove and out of stainless.
