    Well.... It's winter and I'm bored again.  I'm planning on building my own K-frame still using torsion bars and A-Body LCA's , Schroeder double splined hollow sway bars and arms( I have a couple different diameters to try 1 1/4" and 1 7/16"),and a Mustang rack.  Not in any big hurry. Timeline....this summer or next? Right now I'm in the parts procurement process.  A buddy gave me a pair of spindles/steering arms used in Nascar.

    I modified them to suit a Howe screw in ball joint and to get the front end geometry I want. I started with this.



    Then ended up with this.



    I also bought a couple chunks of aluminum to machine up my own hubs that will allow these Wilwood  rotors to bolt too as well as having the 4 1/2" bolt pattern and light weight. Rotors are ordered just waiting on them to come in so I can start the hubs .

    I've been taking to Bill Reilly of RMS on facebook and he is coming out with his own spec'ed mustang rack that sounds really good, so I'll wait till he has it available.
    For brake calipers I got a pair of 2005 Mercedes AMG 8 piston calipers. Today I found some time to work on them. I got them tore down for rebuilding and paint. The pistons are ceramic. Cool stuff, should work good!

    I also bought a set of gauges from Speedhut.  http://www.speedhut.com/  They are really great to work with! You can design your own any way you want, colours, fonts, etc... I could never get the speedo to read correct ( I have a 4L60 transmission) and Speedhut uses GPS, that and I get rid of the problematic amp gauge. I designed mine to mimic the stock 1970 Gauges.





    I'll wait till it warms up a bit to install them in the car.

    Pretty Cool Brad, What's your plan on the K-frame ,design layout , tubular or Square Construction. I assume your gonna keep the torsion bars... Front steer or rear steer ..? I'm waiting too on Bill's steering Rack.  It is supposed to have the same valving as the 94 Cobra rack ,    :bigsmile:

    Square, Tubular construction with front steer. Yep keeping the torsion bars.  :2thumbs:  Bill seems like a great guy! Sounds like a straight shooter. His steering rack sounds great! :2thumbs:

    Did you already get a chance to check accuracy on the temp gauge?

    Those gauges look cool...  I like the idea of going GPS too.   Do the needles light up as well as the rest of the dial?

    I believe they do light up as well. The backs light up green ( like stock) at night but you can choose from a few other colours too.

    Yes, I've been there and it's like being a kid in a candy store!   So many choices I can't decide what I like best... 
    Kind'a like deciding what color to paint my car...  I'll never decide...

    Still too cold to work in the garage much , so I'll do the little things. Painted up the 8 piston AMG calipers today. I had to bake them in the oven at 200 degree's for an hour. Hope the wife doesn't catch on to the "smell"  :icon16:
