installing a tranny cooler. I made the brackets today after dinner. It's nice to have a tig welder and machine shop equipment in the garage!  I painted them black so they do not show thru the grill.

wow, now I know what's taken up all your time the past 4 months. Hopefully you've had a little help from the family, including the wife
Are those weld pro star wheels? Got them on mine also. I had never seen them on another Mopar. If so, are you gonna stay with them?

Thanks! Yes I think they are the same as yours. No I'm not going to keep them. They need a good polishing and the rubber is shot. I'm looking at minilite style rims, like thet used on the Trans-am cars of the day. As far as the wife goes....lets just say the garage is "the dog house" LOL If ya have to be in a dog house it might as well be a nice one!

good choice on the minilites. Obviously they are period correct for the racing series cars, though I think it was a couple years later before they caught on with the aftermarket. I was in high school in the mid 70s when I think I first noticed them

Working all day today, got lots done. I've been dreading installing the torque boxes but I finally got at it today. Just the front drivers side left to do. Most of the time was spend going under and back up to fit the boxes. Sore muscles now! :grinyes:
I installed the u-joints in the drive shaft today, but found out I'm missing the u-joint straps. Back to the parts store Monday!!

Wow...a sport Fury? Dont see those too often.
Yes they look like minilights, though they look like they have a couple more spokes than usual. Not sure but I think they usually had 8 spokes.

Brad,
Can you post a picture of what the inside floorboard looks like (under the carpeting) after welding the torqueboxes in. I'd like an idea of how much cosmetic work will need to be done on the inside, as thats one of the mods I need to do to my 71.
Thanks.

Ok I'll try to get some later today. No work on the floor boards really I just had to pull the carpet away so they didn't catch fire.

Got some more work done on the car tonight. I was at the wrecking yard looking for an overflow bottle out of something to use in the Challenger. I couldn't find something that would fit really well. So I thought I would make one out of these old air conditioning dryers I literally found on the ground at the wrecking yard. And they were free! Picked up a cap for the top off something or other too. The first picture is what's left over after cutting them apart. I never knew what was inside those things? I'm happy with how lite it is! I'm trying my best to keep all the weight off the nose as possible! This was a nice project to practice my TIG welding skills too.
