I had to use the mounting hole closest to the ground as the bolts on the spring hit the body. I could have reversed them but the lowers position was low enough for me.

With the shacket kit from DrDiff the bushing he supplies were too small in diameter. I had to make new ones as they were just too loose in the bushings?

Here is picture of the spacers/washers I needed to space the spring in the spring hanger.

I also had to make spacer bushing for the spring pins. The braket in the rear end was about .060" too big .

Here is one with it on the ground, I'm going to wait to put on the rear valance till I know everything is all good. You can hardly see the Dana.

hey Brad,
that looks so much better!  I love that stance on a challenger  :2thumbs:
too bad you had to make a bunch of parts to make it all work. Good thing you`ve got the tools though...
I wouldn`t worry too much about seeing the dana.   you know it`s there when you need it...  :woo:
nice work  :bigshades:

What shocks are you going to run with the rear springs? Just curious. A buddy of mine had some composite springs on his Dart and said they were pretty particular with the shock package.
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....

Great work as usual Brad,

Now you have a back end as worthy as your re-engineered front end.

I have heard the same thing. I have  RCD Bilsteins on it now. I'll have to see when I get it back on the road?

Thanks for the encouragement guys!  Next 451 and the new tranny

I dig that drop in the rear, looks real sharp!  I have leaned towards that direction several times, not wanting to go through the headache though.  With the new setup, are you putting the perches in any further or are you going to have any more room to put some wider tires on?  Just curious!  Keep up the work, glad you have the right tools and knowledge to make all these extra parts!

Sure wish I had a bigger garage!

Stick with what you have. It limits how much stuff you pack in.  I moved from a 3 car to a 5 car garage, with 3 other spaces to park under a roof.  Guess what? "I wish I had a bigger garage" and getting prices on some build on-site sheds. I still have my Cuda in a friends garage.

Do you really want a bigger garage?

Thanks! Yes at some point I will get wider rear tires. Having 15" rims sure limits your tire options though.  :(
I went with the B-Body width, relocated perches and 1" offset shackle/hanger kit to make room for bigger rubber.

"Stuff you pack in"? I don't know what your talking about!
Very true but I would like to get a B-Body someday , either a 68-69 Charger or a 70 RoadRunner or a 71 Cuda/Barracuda, not that I  have the budget  but ...never hurts to dream?

Thanks Matt! Ya I had hoped to make it with the car to Carlisle this year but Keisler was backordered on the flexplate so I'm a little late on what I had planned. Next year for sure!  :2thumbs:

Looking GOOD Brad! Man, are you lucky that you have both the skill and the machinery to fix all the suppliers boo-boos. What a PITA that'd be for we, the unable! I see you're deep into the heart transplant and bet you can hardly wait to hear it take it's first breath/bark. Looking forward to seeing it done. As Jas mentioned, have you given any thought to bringing it to Moparfest, I'd love to see it in person?  :2thumbs:

Is your engine finished Brad?

Have any pics of it fully assembled?
You getting it tuned on a dyno? Doing your own cam break in? Would be interested to hear your numbers.
