Well I had it out for a rip this afternoon. Traction is definitely going to be a problem! WOW Runs like a raped ape! Does it ever sound sweet at 3500 and up! ... and gets there much quicker than the 440. I'll have to check what rpm chip I have in the MSD box.
No need to break it in , it's a hyd roller. Drive like ya stole it!
These tires are not going to last long!
After my first road test I found I has the throttle cable adjusted wrong , I now have it tight and have about an inch more of travel. Sure is going to take some getting used to, especially the gear drive. At idle it only has 6 pounds of vacuum. Glad I don't have power brakes!
It's going take some time to figure out the tranny controller. The OD comes in at to low of a speed. Shifts funny.. too soon. I'll figure it out though! Another thing I'll have to change over the winter is the darn tranny pan sits to low! I only have just over 4" of ground clearance with the extra deep pan Kiesler put on. Sits lower than the engine oil pan!
Got the console and the wiring all squared away, so it looks good again. Might head out to a car show this week as I have missed most of the summer thanks to Keisler dragging their feet getting me all the parts.
I sold my 455 powered Buick to fund this project. I used to miss the power of that car..... not anymore!
