Have you had it out for a cruise, still tuning, or fried the tires off of it?

Yes still tuning it. It seems a little lean so I had to get some bigger jets. I'm very happy with the throttle response! WOW!
ya that sound from the cell phone is NOT good!  :grinno: Sounds way better in person.

Brad

Sounds healthy, too bad you have to break it in because it sounds like its eager to spin some tires!

Well I had it out for a rip this afternoon. Traction is definitely going to be a problem! WOW Runs like a raped ape! Does it ever sound sweet at 3500 and up! ... and gets there much quicker than the 440. I'll have to check what rpm chip I have in the MSD box.
No need to break it in , it's a hyd roller. Drive like ya stole it!  :aarg:  These tires are not going to last long! :grinno: After my first road test I found I has the throttle cable adjusted wrong , I now have it tight and have about an inch more of travel. Sure is going to take some getting used to, especially the gear drive. At idle it only has 6 pounds of vacuum. Glad I don't have power brakes!

It's going take some time to figure out the tranny controller. The OD comes in at to low of a speed. Shifts funny.. too soon. I'll figure it out though! Another thing I'll have to change over the winter is the darn tranny pan sits to low!  I only have just over 4" of ground clearance with the extra deep pan Kiesler put on. Sits lower than the engine oil pan! :screwy:
Got the console and the wiring all squared away, so it looks good again. Might head out to a car show this week as I have missed most of the summer thanks to Keisler dragging their feet getting me all the parts.

I sold my 455 powered Buick to fund this project. I used to miss the power of that car..... not anymore!

Well winter is here, salt and brine is plastered down on the roads so..... Upgrade time!
I've had the US Cartool cowl brackets laying around for over a year now so I thought I would install them .  I've never had the front end off a Challenger before but it seemed pretty straight forward. Having a CA car sure is nice, It's dirty but no rust! :2thumbs:

It was just over 50F today so I took advantage of it and removed the other fender too. Sure looks naked. I plan on replacing the 2 transmission coolers with a Fluidine oil cooler( Nascar take off) mounted lower behind the valance

Oil Cooler I'm using as a tranny cooler

Also adding a "Monte Carlo bar" or strut tower bar what ever you want to call it.
I drilled right thru the shock tower braces and welded it top and bottom so it's tied into the US Cartool braces as well. Pictures are before I welded on the US Cartool plate, you wont see this when it's all finished ( bottom view)

Ahhh . I know what your doing. I have my braces tacked in now. I noticed they have some fitting issues as they have a larger than expected gap .   The weather is crazy here today SC today..its 80 deg this afternoon while the rest of the country is freezing. looks great
