Gotta admit I was a bit skeptical about the wider fronts but it turned out AMAZING! I love the look of the wheels and looks super tough with the wide meats all the way around. Great work!      Those wheels might be in my chargers future.

Those fenders were the hit of the car show at carlisle.. challengers and cudas everywhere and there was practically a line forming of people checking out those fenders and front tires.   :ylsuper:

Thanks everyone, they sure were a TON of work. Much more than I had anticipated!  :grinyes: Can't say I would want to do it again any time soon.  :eek4:
I was surprised at all the positive comments, not at all what I was expecting. Mopar crowd usually hangs on the purist side of things. I even had Mopar Muscle magazine say it was one of there top 10 picks at Carlisle and took some pictures and had me fill out an info sheet. Said it would be in an upcoming issue? :dunno: They asked if I was coming down to any other shows this summer for a feature shoot, but most likely not. These weekends while fun are expensive.
While heading back to the hotel from the show (Saturday I think it was, maybe Friday ) I was flying around the on ramp when I looked over to see if it was clear when I spied a Sublime Hellcat Challenger. The driver was filming my car with a I phone. He started to get on it like inviting me to join and for a second I was pumped to see what it would do but with my alternator/heating issues  I decided to pass. The guy was black and looking at the Carlisle website when I got home I'm pretty sure it was Ralph Gilles - president of SRT! :ylsuper:  Like how many other black dudes are driving around in a new sublime Hellcat at Carlisle!   I regret not putting the hammer down to see if I could keep up.... :banghead:
For the record I WAS good this year at Carlsile, never went faster than 90 and didn't get any tickets! :grinno:

Someone on facebook sent me a link to a instagram that Ralph Gilles posted a picture of my car!  Cool stuff! It was him!

Brad, it is looking great and I am really sorry to hear you couldn't compete in the judged autocross this year. Were you able to run any laps at all and how did it feel?

Do you have any pics looking down the side? I've considered doing this on my Challenger and always wonder how best to do it with that distinctive body line in the way.

FWIW, if you ever go there, the fender curves on a 70 Road Runner lend themselves perfectly to being widened. Looking at a picture shot down the side of the body, they have a subtle coke bottle profile to them that is not as obvious as a Charger, but still visibile when viewed from the right angle.

:wow I have to be honest. I thought you were crazy doing this and the unpainted pictures didn't help much. Your final work looks great!

I only got to do one run with no time to mess with adjusting the shocks , tire pressures etc.... Neil rode along too!  :2thumbs:  The single run I was just over 8 seconds quicker than my best run of last year and 4 seconds slower( I think that was the number?) than Jeff in his Viper. I'm thinking with some thoughtful tuning I could have done better. The car is definitely more capable than the driver!    I need some practice time. I was shocked how much the tires effect braking, traction is better now too!  I literally bolted on the tires set the air pressure and drove to Carlisle then ran. This was literally my second time on an autocross track.
Here are a few more pictures...? Let me know if you want another angle or what ever?

Fenders look awesome, nice work. I was admiring your car at the show, very nice. A lot along the lines of what I'd like to do with mine. Wish I had more time to stop by and say hello to all you guys!
