    Change or Not?

    As it sits, my '72 Chally has been 1995 Chrysler emerald green with pearl coat for 10 yrs.

    Lately I've been considering a change.  I've been thinking about maybe going candy apple red and changing the lift-off rallye hood for a shaker hood, and black shaker bubble.

    Here are the questions..first, I can't find any pics of red/shaker cars so does anybody have any links or pics?

    also, is there an aftermarket repop shaker, prefferably fibreglass?  I'd kinda like to stick with the all glass theme I have going. 

    The idea is to maybe go shiny red, with black interior, shaker and MAYBE bumble bee stripe (?)

    Thoughts? pics?

    Or is it better to stick with the originality of the green?

    Why don't you make a poll out of it! Red is cool but really . . . . so is green!  Have you considered any MOPAR colors??  Shaker kits are available!  I got a price on a kit in Carlisle for 2500.00 us dollars that included the whole shaker setup minus the hood . . . could probably find it cheaper though!  ;D  ;D

    If you're battling between red and orange . . . then I think Tor-Red is the color for you!! Brilliant red with a shade of orange is how I would describe it I guess!!  I like the color!!  I will go through some pics, I'm sure I have a couple pics of red shakers!!  But I would consider argent silver too for the shaker!!

    You know, while we are at Carlisle, we saw very few red e-bodies.  I think the red with black shaker would look awesome. If you don't go with the stripe on the rear, do a wing to balance the black out.

    well, I think I've settled on Viper red with a customized black interior and shaker hood.  I have a 1:18 of a '70 Chally just like that, and I really like it.  It'll be my inspiration. 

    I'd go with the rump stripe rather than a wing cuz I'm not a big fan of the wing, and with the light-weight lift-off fibreglass deck lid, it doesn't have the structure strength to support the mounting brackets. 

    Now, to have the strength of my convictions to save money every month until Spring to have it done.

    That looks like a sweet color!!  Black and red always look good together!! Sounds like a great plan, keep us informed and take lots of pics!!  ;D  ;D  ;D

    I've been warned that red is the color that most police officers go after...

    but it certainly looks sharp on that model!!!
