Bolt Chart
« on: June 12, 2009 - 01:03:19 PM »
Does anyone know if there is a bolt and screw chart available for being to identify what type and size screw goes where? I know vendors offer bolt/screw packages and individual screws but having to try to figure out exactaly what I need as far as #sizes and type is a pain. AMK has all the screws but I don't know the sizes and style I need and I don't need the entire master kit.
Hope this makes sense.........

Yes, there is a manual showing each bolt/screw/nut and where it was located.  I'll look through my saved links and post back.

Wow, for guys like us that have basket cases or almost basket cases that would be well worth it.  Especially if you took it apart 20 years ago,...........like me.   :roflsmiley:

I am having the same issues. I used moparts.com under tech for engine bolt sizes and mymoparts also has some bolt sizes. I bought an interior screw kit and front screw kit (grille-headlights) and they are well worth the cash. Fender bolts are available at a bodyshop supply place so don't pay big bucks for those. good luck

I bought a few manuals a few years ago. They were expensive (around $85 ) but well worth the money. The info in these books is very valuable to me. They show different head markings and call out  lengths and types of finishes used on the fastener. They show every screw and bolt for the car.
I highly recommend buying these manuals.

You're welcome Snowdog.

I've been doing it to alot of my hardware and I can attest that the money spent and little time put in will pay for itself.

Some of my other remedies on removing the rust also is to use straight Evapo Rust, tumbler media, into tumbler, for an hour or so works very fast. Gotta really tighten the wing nut down really tight. About an inch on the bottom of rust solution in the tumbler is all you need.

After you do the sealing 2nd dip (yellow colored) in the Eastwood kit, put outside in a sunny location away from pets and kids.
