I am not a republican or a democrat . I am not highly educated , I can not quote past political practices or which party did what .
I am however a common taxpayer who funds ALL their ignorance .
From where I sit there is plenty of blame to go around to all of our politicians . They ,I my humble opinion as a citizen , are suppose to serve the good of our country but have forgotten the American people for their own private agenda. The American people are left spending all their time working to pay taxes when we should be "babysitting " our leaders.
So please educate me by telling me the whole store of how we got into these mess and not only the half that fits YOUR agenda !

 Thank you
Attack me at will ( but educate me also )

Better yet, educate me on what the current congress that promised to "lower the outrageous gas prices" has done about it since they assumed control in January of 2007. If my math is right that's 2 1/2 years. Name just one thing they have done.

Obama promised to create (which has now morphed into "save" if anyone noticed) Millions of jobs. That hasn't panned out yet either, but let's wait 2 1/2 years and see what happens.
Once we had Ronald Reagan, Bob Hope & Johnny Cash. Now we have Obama, No Hope and No Cash!

WHERE IS HER LIFE GOING MR.BUSH and Cheney?, thanks to you and your F*&#ing BANKERS  :aarg:(as backers).
Zeitgeist and The Octopus, an Italian crime TV show among many, all blame the Bankers. Now, the International Banker's owe us all FREE health care, as their cost of running a world wide slave business.   :poopoke:

Don't disagree with anything you said 71 but honestly do you think the unemployment & fuel prices can be all laid on the current administration... or the previous?
Bush is blamed for 9/11, even though he had just taken over.

The sad thing is no matter who posts something that might be true facts........No one is going to persuade another what to think. The only thing that happens is feelings get hurt and tempers flair. I for one say to hell with the dems and the reps, we will never have the freedom we were promised in the Constitution until we elect a Libertarian president. Since this country is made up mostly of sheep following each other to slaughter I fear we will never again see the kind of government we are entitled to. By the time they get in Congress or the Oval office they dont even own their own souls anymore.

Guess you've never heard of ACORN and you're unaware who controls the voting apparatus in every big city. A third party has as much chance of winning in America as somebody besides Daley has of winning in Chicago.

If we are all to buy into the "Blame everybody" mantra, than how do you justify Clinton vetoing the drilling bill that had passed both houses of congress in the mid 90's and was laying on his desk? That was over 10 years ago. And just who was it that relaxed the standards for getting those sub-prime loans that sunk Fannie and Freddie? Bill Clinton and his accomplises in Congress.

GWB tried to do something about both but he was blocked. That's the crux of our major problems today if you can handle the truth. "The unintended consequense of Liberal policys", like saving that barren wasteland "environment" in Anwar and putting people in housing they couldn't afford. The "Community reinvestment act" can be traced back to Carter, and the blockage of oil and gas exploration and the blockage of any new Nuclear power stations dates back decades. Ever hear of Greenpeace? Not exactly a Conservative institution.

Bottom line to me is to continue doing what we have already been doing for decades is not "Change we can believe in". Are we more dependant than ever on Foreign Oil? YES. Because we refuse to use what's in our own ground. To some transporting it across the Ocean is better for the environment. That's just INSANITY :screwy:

And this gem by Jay Leno about drilling oil is so good they even linked it on the Anwar site.

That is so true. But, at the same time the oil companies do not WANT to open ANWAR. They have all the oil we need & then some. (I am talking about domestic sources only)

All they really need to do is increase the output of the pumps they have in place now. The US has no need for foreign oil.

It is all about politics & greed, it is not "party" specific.  :2cents:

I still think this should be locked.  This is not the place to try to change anyones mind or try to put your spin on things.  This is the last time I will either read or comment on this post.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

I agree with much that has been said here on both sides. What we need are actual solutions.

I like this quote: "Talk - Action = Nothing" (Think this is in someones signature either here or on Moparts)
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....
