I think I'm going to try this fan too. Wiring is so not my thing. Can anyone post some wiring diagrams? And part # for the relays and thermo switches? Painless has relays?
I need a sort of a "wiring for dummies" kind of thing?  :smilielol:
Anyone?

I was looking at a painless kits they seem to be for 30 amps most of them. Is that enough? Does anyone know how many Amps the HHR fan draws?

All of the standard Bosch relays are 30 amp rated, and work with this fan.  You can install two for redundancy in case one fails if you want.  Any part store will sell those for about $5-$7 dollars, don't waste money on a kit that contains nothing else but a higher price.  Whether you want a thermal or manual switch to control it  is up to you.

Perfect, no issues whatsoever.  It cools very well, and is pretty quiet too.

What are the dimensions of the fan and how deep is it?  Looks like a really useful set up.

Don't have the exact numbers written down, but if you look up the part on Rock Auto and click on info a picture with dimensions will pop up.

Just got almost everything to put the HHR fan in to my challenger. Great fan and the price for everything was less then 120.00 for an amazing set up.

You should always use a relay when installing a high current draw accessory like this, even if you use a manual switch.  Mine uses a relay activated by a coolant temp switch installed in the intake manifold.
I need help with ordering this part.  There are choices to make at Rock Auto and I am clueless as to what to order...  For example:

Have to choose between the HHR LS or HHR LT.
Then have to choose between the 2.2L or 2.4L application.
Finally, I see that it states 'for AC cars'.  Does this matter if I don't have AC?

Did you purchase the 'relay activated coolant temp switch' from Rock Auto as well?

Any Part Numbers and part list would help.

Thanks
