    Looking good, a little at a time.

    There should also be a plastic bezel that fastens to those little holes mounted above the carpeting.

    You know, it makes sense now...  :faint: I do have the plastic pieces under the carpet. They had a slot that the belt went through. But they were just setting in there, not screwed to the retractors.  DOH!

    No problem, sometimes we get so wrapped up we don't see the obvious, we all do it, and thats what great about this place, it's a Mopar support group! :clapping:

    Who can give me some tips on my well liner?? Its actually in nice shape (needs cleaning) but is pulling away from the front rail for lack of a better term. Is there a recommended way to put it back in place?  :dunno:

    Also 2 seat related questions... Is my seat BACK) early 70+ or late 71 up??

    Does anyone have a spare seat belt rubber?? I thought I needed a pair but only one is torn...  :dunno:

    Your seat backs look like early 70-71 as I think I can see the hinge side covers which are seperate from the seat backs. Glad you got the seat nut so fast as it only took 2 days to get to you.

    I found on a lot of stuff going to the direct vender is sometimes cheaper depending on shipping and size of the order. sometimes a large order from YO is cheaper with a discount code and the 500 or 1000 discount they offer.

    Also some venders can sale cheaper than the  maker's prices them at ,  :screwy:  to protect the venders markup by not undercutting there venders.  :rofl:

    then I find the high volum vender for the best discount or a supporter of something I use (c-c.c) or other places.  :bigsmile:

    It should be glued down I dont know with what? I was thinking 2 sided tape or velcro (hook & loop)on my car so I could remove it if needed later for service and cleaning of the pump :dunno:

    Got a little more done today, Gotta go see my Dad tomorrow. 

    Went and picked up the steel for our attempt at sub-frame connectors!!!  A wopping $10 and they did the cutting. One for the left, one for the right, one to scatch our heads on. I'll probly get some preliminary measurements this week.

    I also started on the shifter plate. I ground the rivets or whatever they are off the back. Found out the main body was a little bent. That explaine's why it never exacty sat right in the console. Really dirty inside (no surprise), Things cleaned up pretty well.

    BUT, for you guys that have replaced the plate (chrome shift plate) what did you use to get the plastic PRNDL out without breaking it. I ground on it a little while, but I'm afraid I'll damage it. Any tips??

    Secondly, the new plate I have is from EGAG, Average quality at best. Chrome kinda wavy i'd guess you'd call it. Way to late to send it back , bought it months ago and never took it out of the bubble wrap.

    I just bent the tabs back on one side and slid the plastic prndl out. Put the new one in and re-staked the tabs. Be very careful!

    Ok , here's what I ended up doing on the shifter plate swap over. I tried tapping the tabs back....  ppphhhtt! So I took a diamond tipped dremel in my drill and very slowly cut the tabs out. SLOW movin' was the key ingredient. Got it out and thought between a bad left hand and being afraid to stike the plate and miss, I took the diamond tool and ground out 4 very small spots on the new plate. Just a touch of JB weld. I figure I can use the diamond tool to cut it back out if I have too. I used just a touch of white lithium on the black plastic so it slides nice. And screwed it back together. I think it looks pretty good!
