cadillac northstar nightmare

So, a customer comes in with his 96 Deville with only 47k miles, after scanning DTC's, see a torque converter code, several shift selinod codes and a few other things,  service manager sells him a new trans. So order one up from Jasper (First mistake) :bricks1: WE remove and install in like 11 hours, Start the car, set all the fluid levels, make everything correct.  Leave it running for about an hour and recheck everything again. All seems fine.  Go through shift sequences, everything seems ok, so, off on a test run, seems good so far.  Back in, up on the alignment rack,, set the alignment,  another test run,  seems good. :jumping:  So,  WE take it in another test run on the highway,  set the cruise to 70, as soon as it hit 70 mph,  CLUNK :pullinghair: and we drift to a stop along the ssidee of the road.  Towtruck time :burnout:  Back in up and out with it, Seems to me that when rremoving the axles that the output shaft shouldnt come with it :scared:  On the phone with Jasper they seem to be fighting the warranty.AND,  what would make the flywheel break????????????????  :clueless: :dunno:  Could the TC have locked up or anything????????? So here I am waiting for the Jasper guy with another one. So the moral of the story for me is,  dont buy anything from Jasper and another moral would be dont buy a Northstar nothing.

We have good service around here with Jasper.  :dunno:  The North Star thing I totally agree with. The flywheel cracking almost sounds like the converter pilot did not go all the way in the back of the crankshaft hole.
