Other than burrowing in your yard they should be harmless. As you note they are very alert to stay out of reach, even sight sometimes. They do look like and may even be a part of the pararie dog family but much smaller. I've always heard them called "grinny squirels", no idea what their proper animal name might be. We'll have to ask Joe (April's husband)................his site name is screwy squirel,  :roflsmiley:  And Barry these little rascals are super quick, so maybe they have a lil hemi to power those "four (paws) on the grass".  :smilielol:

I love critters, but can they ever destroy stuff. My buddy's mom's place has these little guys as well and they've lived there for quite sometime and the yard now looks like a detonated minefield, especially around the sidewalk so be careful. I mainly have raccoon and ground hog problems and they are even worse. Cats are your best friend.

So do they taste like Chicken?

Based on this comment;

Reminds me of picking the lead shot out of my mouth from eating the squirrel legs from my dads hunting trips.

I bet they taste like kid's toys made in China.  ;)

My little female Minpin killed a squirrel a few weeks ago. I had to pry her jaws open to remove it from her mouth cause she wanted to bring it in the house.
