rare cuda??? How many were built?

My dad has started a restortaion on a car and we were wondering any anyone could tell us how many of these cars were built.

Its a numbers matching '74 360 Cuda w/ 3spd manual.  How many were built?

 according to the production numbers I have

 If it is a cuda
 BS23L4B   there were 32 built

 If it is a Barracuda
BH23L4B    there were 5 built

The shell should be back from the blaster next week.   The owner is having them do a low budget "driver" resoration.  Dave, you should give Scott a call.  I may post pics of the resto later next week.

Ummm, is my Dodge/Plymout Redbook wrong? It says the 74 360 code is "J", not "L".

In 74, 360's came in J, K & L. I think the K was 2bbl, J was CA only 4bbl and L was regular 4bbl.

All the E-bodies had L's.

John, as much as I like to bash him, I use GayLen's white books for production numbers and code interpretation. The aforementioned "Red Book" has more stuff in one book, but it's not as accurate.

Sounds like a cool car.

quapman  is correct the numbers I posted came out of Galen Govier's production option code book
 
 Just remember these are not always correct they are just based of the infomation at the time !!
 I know of alot of "one of one " cars with a factory twin that shows up later :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:
