Great deal!

I missed that one when I peruse the Challengers on craigslist!  That's just outside the Boston area so I don't bother with Worcester.  I would've been able to get it but I like to see what's out there.

It's so close to stock you would fidgit on what to do, modify or keep it as it is but a new set of sneakers on that car would look mighty cool!  :grinyes:

Dang I thought I had replied to this thread. Congrats on the car! Curious Yellow is a neat color. Nice to see someone picking a car up instead of selling one   :2thumbs:

bb71challenger - LOL, i sold my basket case project to buy this!!! Someone save my mostly finished 300 so I can afford a few goodies!!! LOL

Super Blue 72 - Thanks for not finding it!!! I'm ECSTATIC to own this car.  I agree, 14" steelies need to go, especially w/ whitewalls.  I have a set of 16x8 Conquest wheels, I just need tires for them.

clown - hey guy!!! The cool thing is that I DON'T have to scavenge for parts!! It needs a Driver's headlamp bezel and probably a couple other things, but nothing major...

again, thanks for the well wishes all!!!  Current plan is to drive the car for the summer.  It's only original ONCE!!!!  The wheels/tires is going to be my biggest peeve, and I have a brand new tach that looks like it would be at home on the dash (relax, its cracked...)  Of course the t/a hood and ducktail spoiler are lonely...  I can't really say I'm going to mess with it too much this year. And yes, it will find its way onto an autox or 2  :woohoo: (I missed all of '08) I figure in the winter I'll get the rust fixed (not painted, I'm going to take my time and watch my budget) and let the fun begin, a driving, autoxing resto...

Congrats on the purchase

Man, how did I miss this one?
Grafton is three minutes from me, and I've been through there a million times roaming around looking for oldies :clueless:
Had to have been garaged  :grinyes:

Either way hope you enjoy it

that car is from georgia used to sit down the road from me. nice car had zero rust in the quarter's. the grille was gone when it was here and those headlights weren't in it. it was the ladies first car and she wouldn't sell no matter what you got lucky! i tried to buy it about 3 years ago a local shop got the car running then it disappeared now i know where it went! great buy on a gem of a car body wise when i saw it. even the interior was nice console auto and a T handle shifter and black buckets.

Ken,
Were you in your little yellow car? If so, how many extra times did you have to wind the rubber band to be able to pass him?  :dunno:

Thanks for the kind remarks all.
Barracuda7199 - her son put that grille in the day I came to look at the car.  She also did the lights.

Ken- thanks for the pics... I don't own a trailer...  I kept it at 65-70 the whole way, got decent mpg... I should be driving it to work as its almost double my truck!

DoNotChallengerHer - Yup, I was.  Nice meeting you (informally)

Hey, you're the man for driving it to Carlisle! I couldn't survive that trip in a Challenger. It was cool to see you driving it so I told my friend Bruce to take a couple of shots while we passed you. Wish they could have been better.
