Replaceing Brake Booster--Need Help

I'm removing my power brake booster and I am having trouble getting the linkage off from the brake pedal.  I got the pivot bolt removed, but do I need to remove both cotter pins that are further up the pedal?  I took the cotter pin out from the uppermost connection where it looks like it goes to the actual rod from the booster but I left the fitting inside because I wasn't sure if I could get it back in there.  There is very little room. 

And the top right bolt to the booster is so far up and hidden its a nightmare to reach.  Anyway, any info or tips would be appreciated.  Mt shop manual just says to remove the pivot bolt and then the 4 bolts going to the booster....not very much help IMO.

once the lower cross bolt & the bolt through the pedal is removed the booster & all the linkage can be removed in 1 piece

Thanks...that's what i needed to know.  Now its back under the dash to get the other bolt through the pedal off.

Got it out in no time, thanks again Chryco Psycho! 

I won't have the new booster and M/C until tuesday or wednesday.  I'm wondering if the new booster comes with the backing plate or does my old one come off to use on the new booster? 

After i bench bleed the master cylinder, will i need to bleed all 4 wheels?  And if i do need to bleed all 4, is there any order that i should follow?

boosters generally come with new plates attached
Generally if the lines are full you can just cycle the brakes a few times & the air will bleed out the master , or simply prying 6the caliper out will return fluid to the master so you should not have to bleed it . If you do you only need to bleed either of the rear brakes & do the right front second  & left front third after bleeding the rear line

It was leaking vacuum and has been for the past 2 summers.  It is also the original one.  I have the new booster installed with a new master cylinder.   :thumbsup:
