Painting 90 Degree Oil Filter Adapter
« on: June 22, 2009 - 11:02:55 PM »
Hey guys,

I want to paint the aluminum 90 degree oil filter adapter on my 340 and just wanted to confirm that I can just clean it and paint it with high heat Chrylser Orange paint or do I need to do some other prep work?

Thanks, Charlie

Just clean it real good.

It you want, after first clean, you could use a plastic brush and scrub it so the nooks and crannys are clean with Laquer thinner.

When you paint it, light sprays after tacking up 2-3 times. Then put on cookie sheet in oven at 170 degrees to cure for about 10 minutes. Paint glosses up better with heat a little bit after you painted it.
