rear quater glass adjustment
« on: June 24, 2009 - 02:26:24 AM »
Does anyone know how to adjust the rear quarter glass? Mine hits the inside of a piece of sheet metal when I get so far up, if I press in on the top I can bypass it and it comes all the way up. Am I missing something to keep pressure on the window from the outside in?? Hopefully a little adjustment and she'll be good to go. Would like to get his done before I lay my carpet.

well the mounting bolts at the top & bottom of the track are adjustable , undo the nut then turn the bolt with a slotted screwdriver , this will adjust the track in or out in the body & change the angle of the track in relation to the roof as well .
 Need me to call ?

Thanks for the offer to call Neil but I think I will try as you mentioned above first. Don't want to waste your before I give it an honest try.   :2thumbs: This is what I am talking about. Is this suppose to be there and what purpose does it serve. I have new repoped quarters on there so maybe it's a part of them and I don't need it there???

is the stop hitting it ?
possibly reversing  the stop to the inside may help , the window hardware changes from year to year

Mine was the same. What happens is the body guys make that flange straight up and down when it should be parallel with the angle of the window. Simply roll it towards the outer panel with your fingers/hands until it clears.
