You missed one, i.e...............

Do you wish there was someone REALLY worth voting for.

Most of the folks I know seem to vote based on "the lesser of the evils" rather than anyone they think is really worth voting for.

I'm proud to report from the great (??) state of Illinois, that with the exception of my district's congressman, not a single person I voted for in the last election won!
You can't blame me!!

Maybe I'm just trippin' but when the choice in November was a guy that had never once taken an "Earmark" after decades in the congress that also spent time as a POW and refused early release to deny the enemy Propaganda or some Newbie with no Military gravitas in the middle of two wars that planned to ram through a radical agenda to change EVERYTHING to his ingrained radical leftist way of thinking like some predicted he would (those few that actually took the time to look into his past), it was a no-brainer choice for me. You ARE who you choose to hang around with. Throwing your lifetime mentors and friends under the bus and running over their heads because it's Politically expedient to get elected just shows the true character of a Man's narcissistic soul, not that he has changed any or now has an opposing point of view.

Where's

"I wouldn't change a thing"

Or

"I would move to Canada"

Or

"There was an election?"

 :stirpot:

They're ALL out for themselves, there will ALWAYS be taxes. Threatening elected officials with teabags is a waste of good tea and postage. The country is owned by big business. A REAL middle class uprising might spark some change, but everyone's too busy mourning Michael Jackson, attending or watching sports or watching unreality TV. We're exactly where the ones with power want us.

The country is owned by big business.

WHAT big buisness is left? The Oil industry? They can't drill anywhere and more of the places left are off limits every year, while 17 countries (including China) are drilling away 200 miles off the Florida coast. The Auto industry? It's a joke anymore. You'll soon see the Japanese companies making more big trucks and SUV's and cars that turn the biggest profit, like the ones people here want to buy while we are relegated to competing against Kia making small cars nobody here wants. Big Steel? Find some raw material with "Made in USA" on it. Electronics? Nope. It's all made in China and Japan. Farming? Tell the unemployed people in California that can't farm because their water was cut off in probably the most productive farm land in America to save some endangered frog that they have the Politicians in their back pocket. Pharmaceuticals? I doubt if real Healthcare reform will be profitable for them.

The country is now owned by fringe Wackos. If you're for sex changes, same sex marriage, Anti-Military, Anti-CIA, Anti FBI, Anti Big Oil, Coal and Nuclear energy, Anti big Industry in gereral if they use any energy to power their plants or deliver their products to market, Anti Christian, Anti competition where there are winners and losers or reward for working hard, Anti big car or SUV that you won't get killed in in a wreck, Anti Hunting and guns and everything else that made this country what it once was, you're in Heaven right now. :angelwings:

I would not change my vote either. The last eight years have been really tough for me. Projects have been cancelled because of policys of the past government. Things went bad eight years ago as soon as old Pres. Bush got in everything went down hill. It is a big money and greed thing and everyone eyes were closed to it. Things were going bad so why in the past eight years was anything done about it the republicans had majority rule and things went bad. Know the current Pres. is accually trying to do  things to make this country strong again.

We as a nation really need to send a message by electing someone who is neither Democrat or Republican. The current administration is hell bent on pushing their agenda down our throats before we can blink. They dont even care if they have to face the consequences later because by then they will have passed the legislation they wanted and can retire with a fat cats pay for only 4 years of "service".

There is no option for "move to Canada" because that is the path of a deserter.  There is nothing more UnAmerican than running away from the problems we have.  We must stand and fight against what is going on.
If we run, then we were never Americans.  Americans don't run.  We stand and fight.  We die for our beliefs if need be.  Look at our past and look at our present.  We must take back what we once were.   :wavingflag:

My choice was absolutely the lesser of two evils.  Usually I vote Constitutionalist, as I believe in my constitution.  However this year, I was on the loosing end of who could have been a wonderful Commander in Chief.  Unfortunately we got a man who has no experience.

71Chally416, You could not have said it better brother.  I am fully in line with those words!!   :wavingflag:

I'd just like everybody to remember the words and promises made by our new Commander in Chief and see if he is honoring his promises. For one he promised to do "All of the above" about energy during his campaign, which is a national security issue. Apparently as long as it doesn't involve oil, gas, coal or Nuclear. Then there was the "transparency" promise. Why are they adding 300 pages of amendments at 3:00am in the morning on the day of an important energy policy vote?? Then there was the slaming of GWB over the "outrageous" deficit which in hind site is a drop in the bucket. We "HAD" to rush that bailout bill through that nobody in the Senate had time to read that he let sit for a week before he signed it. That's because he didn't want anybody to see what was in it. I submit we are not safer now (another promise broken) with N Korea and Iran threatening us daily because they see his obvious weakness. Trust him if you want to, but I've already seen enough to convince me he's a disaster with no check on what he does at all, just Pelosi, Reid and most of the Media rooting him on.
