In the Metroplex
« on: June 28, 2009 - 06:08:48 PM »
The Family and I got into Arlington yesterday afternoon. We are here for the week while my daughter is attending a goal keepers camp at TCU. I am here mainly to pick up the parts my cousin has stored for me over the last year or so but its nice to get away too.

Welcome,
have you had a chance to drive by the cowboy stadium yet? I'll probably be at my shop late evenings if you get bored. I am close to UTA on 303 between Cooper and Bowen.

Thanks Ken. It is nice to get away and spend time with friends. The best part of the trip is going to be finally being united with my wheels and tires   :2thumbs:  I really need that heater core too so I can rebuild the climate control box on my car. We are going to tour the Cowboy stadium today I think. I am interested to see what 1.1 billion buys these days.

Sounds good Gary. Let me see what the boss has planned for me and get back to you. The only things I know for sure are set in stone is a visit to my uncle in Rowlett, a visit to my cousin in Ft. Worth to get my parts, a tour of the new Texas Stadium tomorrow and a water park on Friday. Time always slips fast but I have the Yukon during most days so it might just be a possibility. Thanks to you and Greg for offering

What's your poison??

Not really a big drinker but anything not gross will do. Dos Equis, Shiner, Corona, Lite, Bud, Makers Mark, Dos Lunas, Crown.

But dont go to any trouble on my account Gary. I am easy, anything you are drinking is fine with me unless its Jack Daniels, cant even stand the smell of that stuff but that is a story in itself  :bricks1:

Where abouts in Rowlett, and when?  That's where I live.  I'm sure you don't know me from a hole in the wall but it's always nice to meet new people.  Let me know if you have a few minutes during your trip.

He lives pretty close to a lake. Hubbard maybe? It would be cool to meet you guys. I might go to see my uncle today or tomorrow. Kinda enjoying not doing anything to tell you the truth

It is Lake Ray Hubbard.  I'm about 5 miles from the lake, but I just found out I'll be tied up in Austin for the next couple days.  Bummer.

No biggie, have fun in Austin. I dont know for sure if I will even be able to visit my uncle anyway. My daughter is not boarding at the camp she is attending and she is having a 3 hour layover during the day. That means my wife needs the Yukon to take her and go get her so it looks like an extended trip is out of the question. We are going to watch the Rangers play the Angels tomorrow night too.

Enjoy the game tonight.  I still have not made it to a Rangers game but hope to this year...
