scatter shield
« on: June 29, 2009 - 11:17:39 PM »
local track rules require me to have a scatter shield if i use my trans brake, is there certain ones that fit better than others? i was told to go with a blanket, this sounds easy but won't it hold in heat?
i also should get a driveshaft loop, any sugestions on certain brands?

the carbon fiber sheild fits best , I  am not sure of the maker though
for the driveshaft loop get the one that bolts to the tranny crossmember , the generic ones are hard to fit

too bad you live so far away from me. I bought one for my car and then discovered that the engine and transmission combo was too tight a fit for my transmission tunnel.  So I'm going with a bell transmission shield.  I've got one that has never been used but it is out of the box.
