What if my car isn't quite show ready?
« on: July 01, 2009 - 07:55:24 AM »
Im really psyched on the show coming up. Im trying to get my other fender painted before the show but if not i may be riding with a bubbling fender or a "patina'd" 68 truck.

Wally I understand your desire to have your car completed for Carlisle, but you know you will see just about every stage of work on the cars there, from rust to completed resto. Once there (especially returning) the show as far as c-c.c members is concerned is all about the people. It truly is like a family reunion. Sure will miss ya all again this year. Have fun and safe driving all you Mopar buds.   :2thumbs:   :sadwavey:

I assure you it won't look any worse than mine, which MIGHT - MIGHT be on the grounds again this year!  I wouldn't worry about it.

The purpose of the show is to have fun!  See ya there!

If you can, take it!

I went to my first car cruise tis past tuesday.....dash is all cracked and the speaker is out, so a big gaping hole, missing/bad window fuzzies/rubbers, primer on lower front facia.....heck, I wouldnt call my car even CLOSE to show car.....and I was a little worried....but hey, its a work in progress...to me, any stage of completion of these cars looks good!  I was the only Mopar in attendance.....so I can at least say that!   :2thumbs:

I would bring mine to Carlisle if I either had a trailer or had some road trip time under my belt with it.....as it stands, too nervous about it "making it" yet.

I would definitely take it since there is a huge used parts area and you could find all the parts that you need while you're there.  I hate sitting at a show trying to remember what parts I needed . . . if the car is there . . . certainly will help jogg the memory.    :grinyes:

My car isnt a show car and it has some weather seals not installed between the windows and a bunch of other stuff. If there isnt any sign of rain, My ole car will be there. It's not a show car anyways, it's just a driver.  We can park side by side of eachother.  Your car is cool with me :2thumbs:
