I gather from your statement that these are a set that you fabbed up yourself and installed?? They look nice. I have a set I got from Mancini that I need to install and hope to hook up with a friend with a lift. It will make the install MUCH easier!! Nice job!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Looks good, got a side shot?  Curious how low they hang, can you see them from the side?

maniac - Yes these were fabbed by myself and a friend of mine. The metal was like $10, I got 3 4ft sections. One was the experimental piece... but we never used it!

Kat- I'll get you a side shot tomorrow nite! They dont hang real low!

BTW, there's a few more shots in the restoration section....

Bigs, your approach is more along the lines of what I am considering, not welding the entire length. I notice also that yours are wider than tall whereas what I usually see are taller than wide. Was there a particular reason this approach was taken?

Thanks
Wade

Wade, there were a couple factors I considered. First the weld the whole floor thing... was just that  (weld the whole floor) Lots of work but I couldn't see the work/benefit ratio coming out of it. Yes it nice cosmetically, and there may be a benefit if your car is weaker structurally...  :dunno: On a launch we figured all the force was straight ahead...not in the floor!

Then I was thinking square tube. I though if anything it be easyer to twist AND would not have as much weld contact area AND not look as cool!   Also it being wider would lend to less flex when cornering IMO.

The size used really lends itself to the width of the rear frame rail. This should be about the same width wether you have tork boxes or not .  I have them already being a  vert an all. We also welded a small plate. to the inside of both connectors for extra holding power and ridgidity.

Wade PM me if you need anything !

Katfish , here's some side shots. It's kinda hard to see but the mufflers (3rd pic) are lower than the SUBS. Lots of room !!  :2thumbs:
