New Guy
« on: July 05, 2009 - 01:44:16 PM »
Hey all found your website yesterday and had to get on ASAP.  I finally scored my E-body a couple weeks ago and I'm starting her restoration.  I have a '72 Challenger Rallye numbers matching, white with black.  This goes with my '05 Ram SRT-10 Quad cab.  I'm sure I'll be on here a lot as my restoration goes along, long for tips and ideas.  So far I have all the steering and front end supension components tore out.  Anything you experts have feel free to send it on I will take all the help I can get.

Take care and thanks,

WOW, I'm actually concerned for my well being for the lack of pics...so before I big guy with a pipe wrench greets me at the door here are my pics thus far.  I hope this works, first time on photobucket.  I also ordered about 90% of the parts to get her back on the road.

All the before pics are the day after I brought her.

Had no choice if I wanted to drive it...the suspension was so bad off there was no driving her safely.  Wheels had about a 15-20 degree inward camber...not healthy.  So in order for my wife to buy the whole drive and restore, ie not have tore up pieces taking up the garage, I had to get road worthy ASAP!  Once I dug into her, it was quickly obvious that the only thing that was EVER serviced on the front end was the brakes, everything was shot...37 years old not surprising.  This is my first restore so I'm diggin' it, so I'm a newbie all the way around.
