    Hello all, just wanted to say hi before I start posting and asking questions. I have been a mopar fan since I can remeber. Dad got me into them, he is always talking about the cars he has had, duster, roadrunner, superbee, dart. Anyways I picked up a 70 barracuda GP, org a plum crazy 383 car. Needs full restor. So I will be asking some questions when I start. The plan is to put in a 440 with a 440source stroker kit. And use some of XV motor sports parts, stage1 suspension ect. I also have a srt-4 and dakota, used to have a stealth rt/tt, now my dads. Here are a few pics.





    My srt-4, I get a lot of backlash over this car, alot of punk teenagers bring this car down, but I realy injoy it, I have around 6k in mods, super20g turbo and mopar stage2... this setup has dynoed over 430 hp at the ground :) not bad for a 2300lb car with full suspension upgrades



    I had to throw this one in, its my dads. And for sell:) super nice, 429, power everthing it was my garndmams car.

    Anyways I am really iching to get started on the cuda, and will soon be on this forum more.

    Its decent, it is going to need a lot of work. Its completely gutted out, no engine or drive train, no seats carpet nothing. Also is going to need body work. The rear panels have about 3 to 4 inch round rust holes right behind each tire and the trunck bed is rusted out :( also some other dings and dints all around.

    There is a local guy that has something like 35+ years working on mopars, all body work and is real good with e-body cars...     I am pretty worried about the body work, that for me is going to be stressfull. I almost want to get all the body work done frist... not the paint that will be last. But getting the body all stright and all the rust holes out. I dont know though, everyone tells me to do the body work last.

    Are there any adult educations or colleges around your area?  You should see if they offer any auto body classes, so you can learn to do it yourself. 

    I too just got my car and it needs body work as well, trunk pan, rear fender, dutchman panel.  I can do the body work just not the welding.  My brother in law has a welder and he said he could teach me how to weld.  But I am not sure I want to practice on my car first.

    Welcome to the site and sounds like you know what you want to run for the drivetrain. Body work can be tough and takes time. Good luck with your project.

    This is a good idea, I will look into the tech colleges around here.

    I have been bugging the body guys the last few days now haha, and have gotting much help! I now its not that much progress but I just thought I would share a few photos.

    I found a place to buy goodmark body parts for a great price close to home, so I can pick them up and not have them shipped. Just waiting for more funds for the need media blaster and body panels now... each day I work on the car is a day harder to wait for the body panels, this is me untell the day comes :drunk: haha just kidding im really injoying working on the car!
