I'm thinking real hard about selling the Challenger, but would need my money back out of it to do so.  I have 73 challenger that is tore down.  The guy I bought it from said the guy he bought it from had started restoring but couldn't finish.  He pulled the engine and had it rebuilt(318) and painted the engine compartment.  He put new lower quarters on, but welded them to rusty outer wheelhouse and trunk extensions.  So I bought new quarters, wheelhouses and extensions for both sides and installed the passenger side.  The floors and trunk floor are in awesome shape with no rust.  It's a great car, I just don't have the time to mess with it right now.  I would really need to get around $7000 for it.  Am I out of my mind?  I've seen some go for less, but this really doesn't need much to be finished, just the new parts put on, bodywork and paint.

it all adds up fast!projects are a hard sell right now,as far as getting all you have in it back out of it. :2cents:

I guess I lied a little, I have more than $7000 in it.  So you don't think its a good price then?

I bought the 74 in my avatar for $800, but I suppose that is a bad example of pricing.

72-74 really don't command the dollars that the 70-71 do. I've seen a number of all together, running 73s with big blocks sell for $7k. on auction sites, so I don't think you'll get that kind of coin in this economy for a project. I've seen several post 72 e body projects in the $3-5 thousand range depending on how much work they have done and how many parts come with them. Best deal I saw was a 74 Challenger with all the new panels installed and primer laid down, all the rest of the parts to assemble it with a rebuilt 440 and boxes of new parts for $3500. Most tend to need disassembly and replacement panels installed for that price.
