Oil in Fuel Line at Carb.
« on: July 10, 2009 - 08:28:05 AM »
I've got a 440 with a dual quad Edelbrock set-up to include the Edelbrock dual feed, pre-made fuel line.  I've noticed the car smoking a little lately and today noticed oil residue seeping from the fitting where the main fuel line from the filter connects to the Edelbrock dual feed fuel line.  I ran my finger around it and ended up with what amounted to about 2 drops of oil.  What would be wrong to get oil in the fuel line?

Have you checked for gas in the oil?  Could be a ruptered fuel pump diaphram, it its mechanical.

No, don't have gas in the oil.....but would a ruptured diaphram cause oil to get in the fuel line which is what I'm seeing?
