too funny guys...
Family & work always seems to hamper my progress, but I have managed ti eek out enough time to exert some change on this pup.
UPdate:
To start, I have done a lot of finitetrimming, gapping and tweaking. All in all, a lot of detail background metal work.
1st image is the Goodmark Quarter Panel gap is 3'4" shy of where it needed to be.
here is the size of the gap. Lovely, thanks Goodmark!
The fabbed intermediate piece
The end result. Kinda tight in there.
Some door gapping going on...In a big way.
after welding some rod stock on...Yes, the doors were adjusted ALL the way back already.
Trunk lid and quarter panel gap.
Much better
Gonna need a new quarter panel trim piece. I had to cut this beat up one down,
Door gap onthe pass side
Port matching the headers
And ceraic coated by QC coatings
headers installed, as well as the rebuilt steering gearbox--That is a LONG story, but it's back, it's in, and it's happy.
Front bumper brackets are highly modified to slide the bumper ALL the way back. Looks like I need to cut a little more awayfrom the bracket to get them to sit flush.
No different for the rear
The steering gearbox is back in, as well as the HVAC unit..Hopefully it's hooked up right.
Some console work. The PRNDL shifter and cover trim plate never fit well on this car.
my solution: Cut the PRNDL bezel down 1/4"
a little console work to pull the key cylinder apart to get the thing to open and close easily.
still have more to fix
Need an oil pressure gauge.
this'll do.
there...
Next big adjustment:
That's all for now. Sorry for the cell phone pics. I'll update with higher res stuff another time.
