Some of this is just guesswork from photos... :dunno: :clueless:

Some of it is luck :angelwings:

SOme of it I am still working on.

Enjoy....

I have a few questions on some of these, but I'll ask it in the engine and go fast section, or transmission and drivetrain.

Thanks guys!
The bracketry is nearly the same as it was. I spent several hours trying to
configure the power steering pump and A/C compressor brscket.
After several tries, I finally figured out the power steering pump brackets.

As of right now, I have to re-do the A/C and alternator bracket. Such a P.I.T.A!!!
I also have several bolts that I need thar thread into the block.
Since I have the 340 alternator support bracket, I need the bolt that goes into the block, to the left of the fuel pump.
I also need to find out what bolt size is correct on the A/C bracket to the head.
:clueless: :dunno: I tried everything I had, coarse thread, machine thread.. I'll post a pic later.

I bolted on the tie rod ends, mounted the front tires and cleared out the torsion bar receptacles in the frame. They were full of tar, dirt, old grease, bugs, rust...
Nasty... :icon16: :eek4:
I also need to clean out that nasty gas tank with some kerosene, and put it back on the car.
tomorrow I'll get her on the ground and re- mount the doors and fenders.
It sure would be nice to have a complete car again.
I don't even care if it's all one color, just as long as it's one piece again...

hers some more shots. It took me several hours to build and assemble the power steering pump and A/C bracketry correctly.
Thats what happens when you don't take good reference shots.. :swear: :nono:

I also figured I would include shots of the engine mounts for those that need it.. <sound of crickets>

I also figured I would introduce the build "team" :roflsmiley: :clapping: :clapping:

Our little guys just like playing in the car and wrenching now and again.

The doozy is comin up....

Heres a good one...

Pop quiz: is This e-brake a leftover NOS or a used up 36 years old? (like me)

Is that your final answer....?

Its a used 36 year old part.

It was coated in rust. It was an inch from getting tossed.
An overnight bath in DX579 metal cleaner brought her back with alittle light brushing and flossing...

That stuff is AWESOME. NOt good fer ya, but awesome...

Thanks Brad,

It seems like The car has been in stasis forever. There are many times where I want to scream, and hand it over to someone who has done this before, but being the curious masochist, I keep sticking it out.

I try to get into the detail stuff that manuals don't get into because its hard to find proper instructions in a  box of parts.... :dunno: :walkaway: :drunk:
I figure it might make it easier on the next guy.
Today, I assembled the hood, latch, bumper, fascia, and set the front end gaps.
Not bad for a kid.
Pics tomorrow. Heck,
I might get it out of the garage..... :misbehaving:
