The car has all new brake lines- ready to drop brake fluid.
I will assemble the e-brake later.
Need to make some adustnebts to the pulleys and brackets, and I should be a liitle closer.
I might just run out and grab some soft lines, and get the bay finished.

Good thing I had a box of bolts and Nick-nacks from a friend that worked at hamtramck assy...
otherwise I would not have a spare set of brake clips...

I have a bit more to go on the E-brake ass'y.

I wrestled with the gas tank the other day. Not fun with 90% humidity, 90 degree heat...
There is a sequence... (duh - hindsight is 20/20)
I always do things the hard way....

Stand the tank on its side, filler neck side pointing up.
Insert floor gasket onto the filler neck w/ vaseline
Then pop the grommet onto the tank.
put your rear hoses on the back of the tank now, give yourself plenty of extra lenght.
Lightly grease filler neck!
Insert filler neck through the trunk foor into the gas tank filler grommet.
Tilt gas tank into position.
Put on gas tank pad - YOu can use glue.
Pull straps up and throw on the J bolts.
Connect and pop a brew, you've earned it.

Time to bring it back....

I took a hiatus from working on the car for a few months. Tried to no avail to create money through sidejob. Nothing really generated cash, and I just couldn't find the money tree. Where is that effing thing anyway?

So, fastforward to last weekend. I got inspired, and decided to fire up the project again.
After performing 2 rather large patches on my passenger QP and assessing how much more patching I had, I have decided to purchase a new QP.
Long story short, I have to wait for a new shipment of product.
Off come the clamps, out goes the welds on the old QP.

What do these go to? one is for the choke...but which one?

What do these two red wires do?

Choke wire is always blue.

The two red ones in the steering column are for the key-in buzzer, should be in the starter switch harness connector. Or is it the turn signal harness? Two empty holes side-by-side should tell the tale.

Got a pic of your current throttle bracket? It might be correct and you just need a different kickdown "slider" or maybe you can elongate the hole in yours. Most likely, you've got a 2bbl setup and need a 4bbl.
