Please make sure that your throttle doesn't hold itself open when you move this linkage to wide open throttle. It is at the angle that will crash your car.  You'll have to modify it to have the proper angle.

Here are pics of the lower QP patch piece that I bought, and thought I could use...
Yeah..8 hours later and LOTS of cutting. This thing was about 1/2- 1" off in nearly every direction. It sucked.

So. this fits perfectly now that I have messaged it.

Too bad I wont be using it.

Dan,

Just move your throttle by hand all the way to wide open and see it it sticks and see why it is sticking, if it does.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the support.
Here is the last few minutes of work for the weekend.
Yanked off the QP. Why are there always 2 stubborn welds that just don't want to let go? Hahahaha
gone....

now it's time for some cleanup and get to the xtension panel.

Well, the patch panel wasn't cutting it- And neither was the amount of body work I would have to do to get it right. SO, I placed a call to Roseville Mopar (Thanks MoparDave ! )to get a new and improved Quarter Panel.
The old panel came off with the usual fanfare. Cussing, hammering and drilling every weld in sight. I saved it for posterity, and a future project...
Today I spent a little time  trial fitting  the AMD Quarter panel. It  went well, and It nearly went on without any incident. I had One small area that needed to be trimmed by the dutchman. Nothing big.I am generally impressed with the changes AMD has made to improve the quality of the quarter panel.
My roof skin is still "floating" and the other Q panel and dutchman was locked into place.
(I'm paid to be hyper critical about production surface)
Please read my post in th eBody shop section if you want to know more.
Here are some pics of the trial fit install.

Next post will include the work on the extension panel removal/installation.

Lookin' good, Danno...

Question...how does one plug weld the dutchman to the quarter? Do you lay down in the trunk or do you have to be a contortionist?

I'll need to do this maneuver in the future and any tips would be appreciated.

Steve,
I have a long feed cable for my welder. I think I just tacked it , but I used a weld cutter to pop a hole in the dutchman, then weld it from there while in the trunk. So, yes, it is  a little contortion, but not too bad.

I dont have the pass side screwed in yet. its not too bad.

Finally some time with the Challenger. :2thumbs: Life always gets in the way.
45 minutes to get the car level and square in the garage, fill the Hydraulic fluid in the jack...yada yada yada...PIA.
The car is up as high and as level as Im gonna get it.  :)

Test-fittied the AMD panel with great results. Hammered on the extension panel to re-shape it to the mating quarter panel, and now I decided it was time to replace the extension panel.

I can easily say that those suckers are in there good. After drilling, hammering and cursing, the extension panel is out.
I accidentally broke my spot weld cutting drill bit, and had to use a std drill bit, and a persuader.
So, here are the pics:

There will be more tuning, but for the most part, this assembly went really well.

Stay tuned/
