Exhaust Manifold Finish

What type of finish can be used on Exhaust Manifold's to protect them from rusting and is about a clear finish

Cast blast or hi temp paint can be applied. Wouldn't recommend clear though.

Por 15 has a cast colored manifold paint that cures with heat & seem to be durable as long as the manifolds are clean when it is applied , Eastwoods also has a similar product

Ive never had any good luck with either POR-15 or Eastwood exhaust manifold paint.  The stuff I've found that has worked really well is the Nu-Cast from VHT paint and supposedly withstands up to 1200 degrees.  Color is dead on for fresh cast iron color too.

What I've found from VHT is: http://www.vhtpaint.com/flameproof.html  Seems to have changed the name and improved to 2K degrees.  Is this similar to what you used?

Anyone else have experience with any of these products?

If you look all the way down on the right side of the page, there is part number SP998 Cast Iron.  That is the one that I used.
