« on: July 14, 2009 - 11:16:04 PM »
I was wondering if the pie pan on the air cleaner sould be glue or just old there by the wing nut? If it's it was glue what should use?

Thanks

I have never seen a pie tin mounted with glue. Just placed on the air cleaner lid and the wing nut installed. It will not move around with the wing nut tightened down.

There also should be a gasket between the pie pan and the carb. It helps provide a seal and keeps out contaminents. :2thumbs:

You mean there should be a gasket between the air cleaner base and carb right?

Correct! :2thumbs: It's just a round ring made of a soft composite material. There should be a lip at the top of the carb it sits right on and the air filter pie pan rests on the gasket.
