Hey guys,
Anyone out there have a really nice rear glass for my cuda? I need one that is clear or if anyone has bought repop glass that is really good I would be interested in knowing about that as well. I bought my glass from AMD and in the rear glass you can see the laminate. It makes that glass look wavy and dirty.
Thanks
Mark

mark, have you talked to AMD to get a replacement. they have a similar issue on some others, it is caused by the tempering heat process, We have installed a few windshields and back glass for the e-bodies and have no real issues at all.

Thanks for the input Dave, I called AMD and he said that he would pull one off the rack and see if it looked the same but that they have not had this problem before. I am not sure about the not having the problem before as I have a friend who has experienced the same issue and AMD told him that was just the way it was made.  The Glass looks fine inside but when it is in the sun you can see it and forget taking a picture with a polarizer lens.

Kamstra, Where are you in Canada? I don't guess you are going to the Mopar Nationals by any chance?

I just heard back from AMD and he said he would ship me a new one, so I have to give them a lot of credit for doing the right thing. However, he said with sunglasses on he can see it in the glass he has in stock. I will try to find a piece of nice OEM glass and if that doesn't work maybe try another vendor.

Dave is correct that it is the heat treatment process that causes it. I guess the Chinese have not got it figured out just yet.

the waviness is from the tempering process. The b-body door glass this is real prevalent,
