** 73 or 4 Satellite...WIW***
« on: July 16, 2009 - 10:56:25 AM »
I've been letting a towing service keep some cars on a piece of property of mine in Decatur, AL. I was by there last week & spied a 4-door Satellite, kindof a plain Jane but from what I could see a complete & not bad looking piece. I could not be sure of the year but I'm guessing '73 or '74 as it has the safety bumpers  I just called him to find out the story, he says he thinks it's a /6 & was abandoned. In another 90 days if not claimed it will be his & then he can apply for title to sale.
Sooo anyone interested?   Any Idea of values?
Next trip over I'll try to get some pictures if it's still there.

Unfortunately I would say it's worth it's scrap value.  73/74 Satellites have very little interest, and the fact that it's a 4 door kills it.  Don't get me wrong, I think it would be a neat car if it was already a driver and would need very little work to keep it running, but as a project I would probably list it for $500 and hope for the best.

I picked up my 74 wagon for $800. I've seen Road Runner / GTX varients around $2500. Four door unit isn't going to make you rich, that's for sure. Although, there are some parts that may be used on 71-72 models, but not many.

It would be nice to see you at the show if yer going

Wade, maybe it's got a nice front for some guy with a 2 dr???
I can't see a 4dr /6 being a woody for anyone.

Sorry... it's the parts dealer in me....

Won't even help out a 2-door, I don't think, as the front is different

I'm thinking torred's idea of a cop car clone would be the thing..
I guess just depending on condition/price as to the arousal factor, Cheep & Easy?  :smilielol:...
Jeff you'll be 1st on my list buddy.

Sheet metal is different enough that they don't interchange between 2 door and four door. four doors and wagons will swap sheet metal though.

That looks like a solid car, maybe a twin turbo 318 with a/c, cruise, and some fat tires with hub caps. Super stealth look for highway cruising.

My first Mopar was a '74 Satellite four-door.  I loved cruising in that car - wish I still had it - or another one, since it was pretty beat up.
