It's that time of year again.
87th annual Pikes Peak Auto Hillclimb practice has started this week. The second oldest race in the country, the starting line elevation is 9390 feet above sea level. The course runs 12.42 miles with 156 turns before reaching the fnish line at the summit, 14,110 ft.

Jess Neal and his '71 AAR clone will be running in the vintage division again this year. A new addition to the traditional line up of divisions is the new time attack class. This is basically a street car catagory that so long as you have a roll cage and other safety equipment, means you can run you car up the Peak. A friend of mine is prepping his Demon for a potential assualt next year. Maybe in a few more years my Challenger will be ready.
If its got wheels, it has probalby run up the Peak. This year will have of course the stock cars, open wheel, pro truck, and unlimited rallye cars, but also quads, Legends, sidecars and semis.
