AAR Transmission?
«
on:

I have a friend that has a transmission that he believes to be from an AAR Cuda. The numbers on it are:
OB302154
PP833B149 0051
He thinks that AAR transmission numbers start BS23JOB... And that his is missing the BS23J but has the rest.
Does this sound right? Is this an AAR Transmission?
Thanks!
Jeff

an OB tranny could be any trans from a 70 car built at Hamtramck plant , ic could even be from an A body car
the only possible way to tell is from the sequence # and that # seems too high to me to fit the 3 month window when the T/A series cars were built

I believe minus factory race cars and pilot cars AAR Cudas Vins started around
Vin Build Date
274--- March 11 , 1970
And went to
311--- April 20 , 1970
My AAR vin is 307--- built April 15,1970

Does his vin make it more valuable then any other 70 sm blk 4 spd? I know its the same gear ratios and such but the date make it better for any ta/aar?

0B 302154 would be from an AAR Cuda. I have not heard of the car it matches before though.
The engines & transmissions had just the partial VIN listed, it is normal.
Can you or your pal email me with his contact information please? If I hear of the car it matches I will have the owner contact him (if I know how to find him).
Thanks!
