I thought they were a 70 only item but I guess not.  It must have been a mid to late modle year change.  Check out these Cuda's.  About half of them on this site have the access hole on the side.

My 71 Challenger was built in mid February of 1971 and it has the top shock access holes. And, it also has the single trunk torsion bar. Hmm.....

It looks like a lot of work but it will be nice when done.  Just thought I'd let you know that the new truck floor in one of your pictures is for a 1970.  The shock access holes are  are on the top on the pan instead of on the sides like a 71-74.  It doesn't really matter if you don't care about keeping it origonal.  Just thought I'd throw that out there. :thumbsup:

Thanks. I remember looking up the numbers on the pan on the web somewhere and thought it was the right one.  I'll look again since obviously it's not.  I'm not to worried about the originality to that point.  I'm even considering a 5.7 conversion so It's something I'll have to mull over.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I heard Cudd was really slow lately. My car is sitting under a cover right now. One day she will be finished, although I have no idea how long that will be.
