Seat Belt Refurb...
« on: July 23, 2009 - 10:47:10 PM »
Has anyone sent out their factory seat belts to get new webbing/straps?  If so, who/where and about how much did it cost?

My original black belts are needing attention, and I'd like to keep the factory buckles (white stripes on the front buckles).  I've gotten great advice from this site before, and wanted to ask the question...

Thanks

Tom

Sent my rears out to Sharons web and they came back really nice!  She's currently restoring the fronts. Including correct stitching and date code lables. I have her contact info at the shop if you'd like it.

I don't have what I paid for the rears in the office , must be at the house, I'm thinking in the area od $250 somewhere. Anyway  turns out not all my belts were for my car. And being a 70  :eek7: of couse certain things are 70 only. And being the freak that I am I had her make them correct. For example 70 usues X-BOX stitching. As I recall the new correct date code lables were $15 each. She was able to reuse my hardware which saved some $. Also different assembly plants used different hardware. Mine were potentioner (pardon spelling) some are american. I had a mixture so she traded me ,so they are all of the correct for my car (pot) type.  Look on the back of your buckles you can see what you have.  She is doing my fronts right now. My retractors worked, this also saves some $.  The biggest time consumer on this job is the plating because she sends that out to somewere.  Check out the rears.... tell me what you think...  :dunno:

ps - Sharon has been very good comunication wise. She always gets back when I had a question!!  :2thumbs:
