I didn't have the heart to try and talk him down. Seemed like a good deal at 2K. I still need to make arrangements and find the time to go get it. I better quit screwing around and do it.

I finally have found a free weekend to go get the Charger. I'll be taking the drive up to the great white north next weekend to get it. It should be mine on Nov. 7. Hopefully I haven't put it off so long that it snows on me.

Sorry, missed this post initially, but that is an awesome deal!!!!!  That car looks so comoplete and stock, minus the rims, but those are wicked cool period correct rims!

Are those 14" slotted rims or 15"?

I love that strip down the side as well.  Cool that it has a dual snorkel air filter housing.

You can't find anything in MA in that condition for that money.

How are the floors/trunk/frame?

I'm excited for you!  I really like that body style.  Those fuselage cars are  cool.  My fondest memories of one of these cars is seeing a triple black one with rear window louvers, Cragar S/S rims, Go wing, and jacked up with fat tires in back in the 70's.  Meanest looking car I saw.

I totally love this guys car.  Check out his site: http://www.windvisions.com/Charger/1972.html

I'm not real sure on the overall condition. I'll know more this weekend. What I did get to see was restorable. I figured for the price it could be rusted out and it would still be worth the price in parts. I'll post some more pics and description when I get back home.

Well, I got it home last night. It was a long a$$ trip. I screwed up and tried a different route coming home and ended up going an extra 100 miles. My mistake.
Anyway, the car has some rust as I was expecting down low in the quarters and bottom of doors. I thought the guy was actually going to back out on me. He kept telling me how good of a deal I was getting. The extra NOS sheet metal I got in the deal is in excellent shape. In the trunk is a complete NOS stripe kit. Probably worthless because of its age but cool never the less. Also got a NOS rubber bumper guard.
Here's the best part. I got the car moved over to my brothers place (about 25 miles away) and decided to see if it would start. Keep in mind this thing hasn't run in probably 4 years. I put a fresh battery in it and checked the oil. Dumped a little gas down the carb and hit the key. It fired right up and sat there and idled until it ran out of gas. I was amazed. Not one tick, knock or rattle. I can't wait to get home tonight so I can play with my new toy some more.
