Have not posted any progress lately but have been working on the Challenger every chance I get but it all takes time and I have a full time job that has been working me around 55 hours a week. I have got the fenders and doors all stripped to bare metal and epoxy primmed and sprayed with 2K primmer. I have been working on the hood and have it all stipped and I epoxy primed it today. I have had 3 nice weekends in a row and my wife thinks I work way to much on my new project but I want this one to go faster than my Cuda. Here are a few pictures. of the progress.

I have made a little more progress working on getting the hood and front valance primed. I got the rear valance stripped and ready for primer but may wait till Christmas shutdown so when I got the garage heated I can work on my Challenger a few days as it has been pretty cold in southern IL.

Chris if you only knew how much I work on the car you would be amazed. My wife says I'm obsessed with the project and she tells me the Challenger doesn't have to be painted in 2010 but that is what I'm shooting for but work has me there around 11 hours a day and it has not left much time for my Challenger project. I have started to block sand some of the parts and have sanded the trunk lid and left front fender. Soon as I'm off for Christmas shutdown I'll try to get some more work done as I bought a propane wall heater for the garage and it seems to work good in my insulated garage. I bought a blast cabinet yesterday for the small parts and hope it works out as they are so hard to sand.

I've been off work for christmas shutdown since dec. 22 and have made some progress on the Challenger. I got some of the parts blocked for the 1st time and primed again after fixing a couple small dents I missed. Here are some pictures from yesterday of the trunk lid, door, fender, and both the front and rear valance. It was only 30 degress outside but the garage was 72 degress so it was nice in a heated garage and my new wall mounted propane heater works good.

I block sanded the other fender thursday and started to sand a 8 3/4 rear end to bare metal to either powder coat or paint. It had white and black paint on along with rust. Here is a picture of the rear end.

Scraping back layer apon layer apon layer ::) great progress all in all :2thumbs:

Are you going to do this one back to its original B5 Blue or do you have other plans for a color ? and what color trim came new with the car. ;)

You don't know the half of it as I did the rear end outside and it was 38 degrees F. when I started and 32 when I got done. I'am going to stay with B5 blue and the original interior was blue everywhere but I'm going to change it to white. It will have the black carpet, dash, and console and white door panels, seats, headliner, and trim.
