Wow a body lift floor to elevate while painting? Fancy!

Looking forward to seeing paint on your car.

Fun project, but I hope you won't have too much into it considering net value!  Darn it, always the realist!

99% of us will have more into our cars then they will ever be worth.   Very few cars are accually worth more then the cost of a total restoration.  It's a hobby.

I never got into the hobby to make money. I just love these cars even the later years. This 73 Challenger's engine was long gone so I built it the way I wanted doing all the work but the final paint in my garage. I have only had the Challenger 2 1/2 years so it has moved right along. Here is a picture of the base on the Challenger through the paint booth window. I never stayed to see the clear go on as I had over thing to get done today with the warm weather. I painted a extra trunk lid that is in the pictures as I was not sure if I wanted a go-wing spoiler on the challenger or not  I'll get it home Sunday and get plenty of pictures so everyone can have a look.

I understand the passion completely, it's just that I have seen aaaaaalot of guys (including myself on a prior project) put in a lot of $ and time on a restoration (part or full) and then wind up wanting to the sell the car soon after it's completed, resulting in a large loss ($8k+ in my case).

That has left me to conclude that it only really makes financial sense to restore the more collectable/desireable cars.

Having said that, your car is coming along great and I hope you get a lot of enjoyment from it.

Yes it is base coat clear. Seems to hold up the best and keep it's shine in sunlight best as the UV rays are hard on paint.
