440, 727....not sure on the rest of the car or the condition. it ran when they parked it there 16 years ago. Athens, GA is the location of the car. i may have more depending if there is any interest in the car.

hm Drew, cracked or stuck block, dry rotted gaskets in tranny and mouse eatin wires just for starters, frozen carb plates, clogged fuel sending unit, stuck brakes or brake lines. just a few things to consider

oh, i know, my dads father in law passed away and the car was parked in the back under a blue tarp. it drove fine when they parked it, the interior is nice apparently and the car has minor surface rust from what i was told. not sure if a freshen up would get her running or not. i might consider buying the 440 at least if they part it out, then i will atleast have a 440
i am just trying to figure out what the car is worth as a whole.

correction, i found out today that it is a 66 Newport, and they said it is an M code? any ideas on what that m code is.

"M" could be Medium price class.

only factory motor in a 66 newport was the 383 2bbl

Allpar shows a 383-325hp and a 440-365hp as an optional engine in 66 in a Newport to go along with the 5' of shoulder room front and rear.LOL

thanks guys, i am just going off of what i have been told. they were saying that it was an m code so i will have to find out next week when my dad has a chance to go out to look at it.
