Finally unloaded my 71 swinger. whew!
« on: July 28, 2009 - 08:22:03 PM »
I have been trying to sell my 71 dart swinger special for quite some time now.
Finally out of the blue, a neighbor of mine that I bought a 76 dart parts car from came over after seeing my car on craigslist.

He had a fist full of money, but 500 bucks less than my asking price but I saw that cash an printed out a bill of sale faster than you can fart. LOL.

Finally sold her.

The sad part was watching it drive away and thinking to myself what a good looking car I just let go, but I'm sure alot of you have been in the same boat.

I bought the dart while I was building the barracuda because I was going out of my mind not having a cool car to drive while working on the beast.
I got it for a good price and made a few bucks off of it also so it worked out just fine.

Oh man, the guy had a smile pegged on his face, and my neighbor came by to pick up her kids tonight and said she kept seeing my dart drive around the neighborhood all afternoon, but swore it was someone else driving it.

The new owner is basically going to do to it what I could not afford to.
He's got plans for a killer 360 and a 4 spd.

 :iagree: :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:

Congratulations on the sale, looks like a really nice car. My 2nd '71 Dart Gt may end up with a 360/4 speed when I get around to fixing it, lots of fun!

These are mine, '71 Dart GT's, both with 318/904's from the factory.

I've always liked that butterscotch yellow on dart swingers double blu.
A set of cragars always does the trick.

Guy I sold the dart to came by yesterday and told me he got a set of ralley wheels ordered for it and a dash pad.

He found a nice pleather bench seat cover at one of the auto parts stores.

He also said he's not gonna change anything with the drivetrain now because the little slant six runs like a swiss watch and it's so fun to sling the three speed on the column.

I told him he will be suprized how much attention that thing will get at car shows with that little motor.
It holds it's own pretty well.
