What is 'custom' draft order?  I am unfamiliar with this?

I was playing around with the commish tools, it appears random picks the draft order 30 minutes before the draft, and custom lets the commish choose the draft order. I was trying to figure a way to draw the draft order early, giving the teams a heads up who goes first, who is last, might help you in your studies, right now it wont work, unless I draw names, and the league goes on the honor system. I'm still studying.........
