71 Repo fenders & 74 headlight buckets - update I got them to fit!

OK, so I put reproduction 71 gilled Cuda fenders on my 74, and now the original 74 headlight buckets
don't want to "bolt in".

I only want the gilled fenders, and I will be re-using the rest of the 74 grill, headlights ect..

Any feedback? I can and will drill if I have to, but was hoping to just bolt in.

I thought I had read before I could just swap the headlight buckets, but obviously I'm running into a problem.

I have never tried that one so I cannot be much help

So 1 bolt was all that would match up, so I bolted it on, marked up an 18ga piece of steel cut to fit and then traced it out.

Then took it back apart, welded the 2 pieces together and now I have a way to hold the buckets in!
